Watch out Broadway!

The amazing theatrical program at Raynor Country Day School encourages performers of all ages, Pre-Kindergarten- -Sixth Grade to showcase their talents and abilities on stage!
At the Pre-Kindergarten level, this program offers children their first stage experience. Participants will sing, dance, act, smile, and charm their live audience. In addition, children will create their own lines and design their own costumes. Prior productions of the Pee-Wee Theatre troupe include Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears!
At the junior level, educators work to capitalize on a growing interest in the area of dramatic arts. Students are given the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their singing, dancing, and acting talents. In addition, children learn to memorize lines and work with their peers to create two live productions each academic year.
Finally, the theatrical arts program culminates at the senior level. Directors work with the children weekly to further develop students’ singing, dancing, and acting talents. At this level, students learn to memorize lines and choreography. In addition, students experiment with basic improvisational skills. This program culminates in one live performance; prior productions have included Annie, The Music Man, Jungle Book, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland.
