Admissions
Raynor Country Day School has high standards for students entering our program. We believe that the small class sizes and diversity of the school community is an essential component of the educational experience.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Call Admissions Office to obtain registration materials.
- Schedule tour of campus.
- Submit registration form for admission with all supplemental paperwork required.
- Receipt of registration form and $200.00 non-refundable registration fee per student.
- Receipt of candidate’s release of records form, official school transcript, other relevant references from previous school, and letters of recommendation.
- If a student has an IEP, or a 504 accommodation plan, or a Medical Management Plan, final acceptance into the school will be made pending review of these documents.
- Completion of the Physical Examination Form: (all immunizations up-to-date) and, the completion of the Medical Management Plan Form and the Release Form, if necessary.
- Receipt of additional application information as requested.
- An interview with the student and an interview with at least one parent.
- Admissions Testing.
- $500.00 yearly non-refundable deposit due by 4/15 credited toward annual tuition.
- $250.00 yearly non-refundable activity fee due 9/1 (includes in-house assemblies, consumable music and art supplies, seasonal festivities, individual classroom incentives, etc.).
- Monthly payments of tuition are due on 1st of each month, August – May.
- All first-time students are admitted to RCDS on a ten-week probationary basis. Parents and students must fully support the policies and programs of the school to insure a successful enrollment. Students and parents must apply for admission and interview in person. Records from prior schools must be received and students must complete the entrance exam prior to enrollment.
The school reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny enrollment or dismiss from the School or suspend from classes, any student if, in the School’s judgment, the family, including parents or guardians, consistently act in a manner that precludes a positive and constructive working relationship between the parents and the School or does not pay specified tuition and fees, or the student is not suited to the program of the School, or the student does not abide by its rules, regulations and policies as outlined each year in the applicable Family Guide. Should the student leave for any reason prior to the completion of the academic year; the full-year’s tuition shall be payable in full at that time. Further, it is understood that report cards, diplomas, and other official school records will not be released until the account of the full year’s tuition with the School is paid in full.
Registration for currently enrolled students begins in October. Registration open to the public commences in November.
ENROLLMENT
Classes are generally based on the child’s age as follows:
Pre-Kindergarten
Children four years of age on or before February
1 of the school year in which he/she is entering
are eligible to apply for admission to Pre-Kindergarten. Pre-Kindergarten
screenings are conducted yearly in the spring. All
children must be toilet trained. All
admissions, regardless of age, are subject
to Administrative approval and policies.
Kindergarten
Any child who will become five years of age
on or before December 1 of the school year
in which the child is entering is eligible
to apply for admission to Kindergarten. A
student is required to have necessary immunizations
before entering school.
Kindergarten screenings are conducted yearly in the spring. All admissions, regardless of age, are subject to Administrative approval and policies.
Grades 1 - 6
We require all previous school records to
be forwarded to our Admissions Office for review. Release
of Information forms are available at
the main office. All admissions, regardless
of age, are subject to Administrative approval and policies.
A student is required to have necessary immunizations before entering school.
